Does anybody know if the exhaust on a 2000 vrx has some form of noise silencer on it?

Any tips on how to get a nice loud sound from it (apart from drilling a hole in my muffler)?

nope, no such silencer on the muffler

if you want a louder noise, your best off getting an aftermarket one

most ppl recoment a redback for a louder sound without the excessiveness of a cannon muffler

I put a bigger tip on mine that made a difference, Also change the center muffler for a hotdog gives a nicer sound.

I doubt it.
Ring up your insurance provider tomorrow and ask them.

Depends on a couple of things, who you have your insurance with and how old you are mainly. Most insurance companies should let you have at least a couple of "modifications" without it effecting anything.

yeah the age thing is a big factor. i'm still 17 for another month so i might just wait till i'm 18 before i do any mods.

insurance is with AAMI too, not sure if they would allow any mods for no extra insurance...

anyone with AAMI know if they do?

Hey man

I have a standard vrx exhaust, with a vx SS common***** tip

It sounds phatter than a std vrx zorst with a nice burble on the way down, they arent too dear, so that may be a start.
