Hi guys,

Jamie85, mentioned to me that he read that there was a place in queensland offering manual conversions for $1650. Not sure if that was just the box, or box + labour. I was just wondering if anyone knew where this place was?

Cheers,

Matt

Don't know who Jamie85 is, but have heard a few ppl talk about getting manual conversion kits / and or getting the manual conversion performed at Magna Wreck at Currumbin on the Gold Coast.

You'll find them in the white pages.

Seems to vary, but these comments from this (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51474) thread are referring to the same place:

yeh they are a wreacker, i got one for $1100 through them,
best price i could find any where
(pretty sure the above is referring to the price for a gearbox alone, not conversion kit)

I paid around $3300 for my whole convertion kit, which includes everything that's needed to convert plus new clutch and labor. Not sure why they would want that much for a 3.5l box.
Just call them again :D

Just got my car back from those guys down at the coast... the price that they charged me was $1450 for a auto box rebuilt... donno if the price is still expensive... but from what i check around brisbane its the cheapest u can get... gave me a 6 months warranty on parts and labour... anyway... last week i was back with some problems after it was fixed... and they fixed the box to almost perfect now... best part is that they didnt charge me anything as promised... but its a long drive from birssy about 1 hour covering almost 100km...
