I dunno if this has been posted before but...
It is a 3.5L Model
I have a TH magna Sports Sauto.
I have a 3ich car back Zorst.
GT GAS Shocks.
Low KLing springs.
Im looking to get a little more power.
How hard is it to install a larger throttle Body? Is it worth it?
Would the POD box with Cold air duction make a difernce?
Is it possible to be able to Get an ECU upgrade eg a VRX ecu as they are form what i understand the same engine?
Aprt from going to manual what cost effective things could i do to get a little more out of my manga?

get a piggyback ecu such as a haltech usually around 700 brand new plus 400 for install(miniceptor).
TB installs, if you mean upgrading to a high flow TB, usually about 180 inc install from RPW.
You should get about 10-15kw increase

He is talking about an overall bigger throttle body. For instance the 3.5L are 73mm?(i think dont quote me here) He would want an 80mm or bigger, not just the standard one with the steps before the butterfly grinded down.

Also just to add, i think the reason there isnt alot of oversize tb's around is because the standard manifold needs to be a larger diameter where the tb bolts on.
I would go an after market intake manifold/plenum, and find out what the mouth size is and then find out if any larger tb's will fit to it.

The POD Box and CAI kit has many opinions about it, it usually gives you a couple of kw, if you can do it yourself cheaply, do it i say, but if your going to pay couple of hundred dollars dont worry about it.

The 3.5L TB is 65mm.
I offset machinced (with a machining centre) my old stock 3.5L TB to just over 70mm but wont ever do another one as it was a real pain in the **** job due to the stock TB not being a straight thru unit like the Ford/Holden ones.
On a stock to mildly worked 3.5L there are more things holding back power than the standard 65mm TB.
Hi flowing the stock TB is easy though as all ya need is a dremel and an hour of ya time. Instead of wasting money for RPW's version your better off contacting EZboy and getting one of his high flowed TB's for around $90

Thanks for that correction.
Does anyone know if there are other throttle bodies that are compatible with the magnas?

Not sure, but there are some info on various throttle bodies here: http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2049/article.html

None that i know are a direct bolt on and compatible with the "stock" ECU. I think the EGO is using a V8 mustang TB and on my old engine i was using a machined out V8 commodore TB, worked well but i lost the use of the cruise control.
Im looking at modding the factory cruise control setup so it fits up to the V8 TB i used previously but it is very low on the priority list at the moment as i just want to get my car on the road again.
