about 2-3 weeks ago i dropped my car 2" allround
and since then, when i corner at about 45-50km/h, the corner on my bumper scrapes on the ground giving off a unfriendly sound echoing inside the car

does any 1 else have this problem? its kool i reckon but it kindda hurts cause i've only had my TR for a few mths (bumpers are plastic n e way... 8) )

i'm on stock shox and wheels (total eyecandy :? )

also! when i corner hard performing a right hand turn. it makes a creaking sound?? (along with some contact with the ground)

comments?
thx, hkway

you might have lowered your car, but your shockers were the one in need of attention,
well you see, the springs act as keeping the car above the ground, and when there is a hit bounces up and down, now the shocker is the one that absorbs the pressure, and levels the car,
now as you said around corners you hear sraping, well it means your shockers are not absorbing any shock, only your spring is doind most of the work!
i advise you to replace your shockers all round,
coz even if i corner at 80( im talking hard corner) my car doesn't scrape a thing,
i know for a fact that my front shocks are gone and in need of replacement, and i still dont get anything like that!

and how does the creaking sound like??? click click clikc !
because it sounds like a busted cv joint, is it only the right one?

p.s you should say good bye to mudflaps!

i thought it might have been the shox, dunn how but it was just a guess
i better get some 1 to look at it, might PM/Call Mel and have him take a look for me

as for the creaking sound
only happens if i do a hard right,
its only 1 long sound.. something like... "creeeeeak" (( ))... dissappears once the weight of the car shfts back i suppose...

sounds like a busted cv joint man!

i dont think you need mal to have a look at your shocks!

try it urself, press hard on a corner of your car, and if it bounces back more than twice then you know shockers are gone!!!
how does it feel when you take corners???

like a boat???

u have pm BTW

yeh, my left cv is actually cracked and leaking black gold all over the place. they dudes at suspention city told me.

i'll give my car a bit of a juggle later on tonight and see how my baby rocks

the car corners pretty good actually, feel fairly solid, need better tyres tho, doesn't hug to the ground... but i got cheapo 1'z car i know i'm not gonna be a sensible driver
