  i'v got i pod on my car at the moment just asking would it be better if i put a k&n filter on cause the one i got know is just a cheap one. is there much diff anyway:nuts:
The proper K&N filter is design to not disturb the air as much as normal round pods and so does not screw up the air flow through the MAF. Using any ol pod can cause your car to run lean or rich or to flatly not run at all.
I'd use the proper K&N filter. Search the wiki for the part number, i think its in there.

I think having any kind of Air filter would work 100 times better than having an ipod shoved in your intake :bowrofl:

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 33-2151 part the Panel Filter?

a K&N filter should be most peoples first mods, simple to install and not that expensive compared to other mods.

a wiki is a web site editable by anyone who wishes to contribute.
There was a wiki for 3rd gens and outlined issues regarding lowering, engine mods, exhaust etc etc. And I'm pretty sure it had the filter part numbers in there as well. Can someone post the link?? I cant find it at a glance
It was put up so noobs would hopefully read that and not ask questions already asked hundreds of times.
Also be aware as soon as you put a pod on without a cold air induction kit, your car will be sucking in air that could be up to 40 degrees more than ambient, and actually reduce performance.
Any place, repco, autobarn. motoquipe etc should be able to order them in. Theres also philcom rally (see sponsor sections) who do good prices also

ok this may sound stupid but my mate put a rampod into his magna, but left the snorkel and the front piece of the "filter cover" on, so it acted like a heat shield. he drove like 40 kays over 100 km/hr. then did some 1/4 mile starts, and it didnt seem hot at all, power still felt like it was there and we did a 7.3 second run to 100 km/hr. i dont know if that helps at all. this is what im planing to do at the end of the year

That is exactly what i did and could not notice the difference between the K&N pod and panel performance wise, but the pod sounds a hell of a lot better than the panel which was the main reason i switched over!!

make your own or RPW for 400-500 dollars
Noobness forgiven. At least you haven't asked 'what should I mod first'....thats a definate no no :)
The only CAI for pods is from the famed artisan, EZ-Boy, on these forums. I don't think hes making them anymore, so just watch the for sale forums to see if anyone is trying to offload theirs.
