Howdy Guys,

I am a newby here and have just purchased a 95 TS V6 manual with just 158000 ks on it in pretty smick condition.
Only problenm is driving the thing home first time I detectd bad clutch slip especially in 4th & 5th when giving it a bit of quick throttle. Thing is, previous owner had clutch slave cylinder reconned not long ago so I was surprised to find clutch issues.
Can anybody tell me if this slipage could be related to dodgy slave cylinder work or is it more likely a new clutch kit coming up.

Cheers Majordad

I've had slave cylinders go in a couple of cars and got no warning, pedal just suddenly hit the floor, and I had to pump it to get a clutch to change gears and crawled to a garage
Do the revs increase but you don't go any faster??
Sounds to me like the clutch is going/gone.
Pull the handbrake on full/chock wheels
Start the engine.
Put it in third/fourth gear and let the clutch out slowly.
Does it stall immediately or slowly stall??
A good clutch will stall immediately a worn one wont, but dont do it too often it's a heavy test on the clutch
