Hi All

I'v got a TJ 3.5L manual with a sunroof. So naturally it has the reading maps and centre lights. Those who've got a sunroof will know. See attached picture.

The middle lamp was not turning on when it was supposed to so i thought the bulb had to be changed. I removed the plastic cover and tried to remove the bulb but forgot to switch it off before doing so. I also had the reading lights on.

When removing the middle bulb, it lit for about 2-3 seonds and then turned off and so did the reading lamps!

Since that the fault code had been flashing, imobiliser not working and when my headlamps are on there is no beep sound when i remove the key.

I know what the S is and how to get back the trip but whatever i do it does not seem to work!.

The rest of the car is fine, headlights turns on, car starts and drives, radio fine.

When the Key is turned on ACC there's no clock and nothing appears on the trip computer. Its only when i turn the key to ON that i get the clock back and the 'S' flashing and its not flashing in a constant way. its flashese a bit weird.

Anyone please!

yours is an auto ye???

i was changing a globe for my interior light also when i had my magna and forgot to turn it of when i was putting the new globe in i dont know how there was a small short when the globe turned on for 1 sec and there was a little spark. had simial problems to what u did but mine being an auto it felt jerky when driving and computer would reset it self.

checked the fuse in the drivers side and found a blowen fuse. fixed that and all was good

so check your fuse inside the car and outside.

I dont wanna sound like a prick but... why the hell were you playing with your electrics with the power on in the car?
So just to clarify, you set the ecu and next time you start your car its asking you to set it again? Its possible you fryed its memory.

Could explain why the immobiliser is not working.

Is the remote locking working?
Is the car immobilising when you use the key to lock it?
