Hey guys, need a little help..
I just installed a new head unit in my mums stock TS magna, all was going well until i had this pink wire left over. I think it may have been used in the stock radio for the lights.
Anyway, i sealed it over and forgot about it, thinking it would be fine left like that.
We took it for a drive and tested everything. (shes a freak when it comes to car safety) and realised her dash lights, cigarrette lighter and clock lights were all not working.
I check the fuse box, all good, so i came on here to figure out why..
I realize i didn't check the fuse box in the engine bay, so i check that and VOILA! The fuse was burnt out. So i replace that with a new one, test the lights. No good, the fuse blew again.
What can i do to fix this?
Does it have to do with the pink wire?
Can i just ground it or does it need to go somewhere?
The new H/U doesn't support a lighting control or whatever on it, so im kinda stumped.
Please help! I don't want my ass kicked! lol

did you earth you Head Unit properly...
i have about 10 loose wires just floating in the dash.. no idea what they for so i just taped them together....
just make sure that any wires arent touching the chassis of your car.. .shorting your current and of course... .blowing fuses.....
nothing in your dash should inteferre with you CAr saftey...

were did the pink wire origionaly come from?.. check the back of the stock CD player to see were the rest of it is and were it leads.......cause you must have cut it somewere along the lines. tape the end... replace the fuse.. and check your grounding points...(make sure you sanded back were your grouding to so she conducts better...

I am going to upload some pics of the wires for anyone else experiencing this problem, and detail what i did wrong.

I just sold my TR magna, i was having too many problems with it and couldn't keep up with the servicing. It was a bad buy on my dads part.
Mum has a TS magna, haven't got any happy snaps of that, but its just a stock TS.

Dunno if this will help anyone. This is how mine looked when EVERYTHING was working. (illumination totally disconnected and taped over.)
This is for a TS Magna 1995.
