have been playin around with the ralliart over the last week. done a few changes taken the wing of.it looks better with it of but it will be going back on as soon as i finished working on it.

once u've painted the cross piece on the wing black and have done the same with the rear bar put black rims back on it, the chrome is the only thing that spoils that car. other than that i would say it would be one of the hottest magnas i've seen

The rims look like the ones off the TMR380.....I think jase tried to put carbon on his rear wing (ala like an evo), but had problems with it

Leave it off, I dewinged my Verada when I put a KJ rear on her, and Im NEVER going to have a wing again. Even if my next car has one, it will be removed.

I think put it back on...looks like you Rallied up your exec but couldn't afford the rear wing.

yeah do that.... i have some nice 1 piece chrome surrounds on my car not the 2 piece that on 99% of the magnas

my car was black then i thought chrome would be good.... but the black window surrounds are better

hmm.. personally its not a ralliart without the wing.. kinda like the EVO's.. its not an EVO unless it has the kit, 2.0L turbo engine and AWD (and with the EVO 4+, it MUST have the AYC system)

The wingless look does add to the stealth factor though, especially if that's what you're after. I saw a silver Ralliart a week ago that'd been dewinged, and for a moment I thought "just another lowered Magna", until he jumped on it...

It does look like an exec with a kit, i know it's weird, it's JUST a wing, but that's what it looks like.

I'd personally lose the 3.5 badges under the indicators, might make it look less exec-like.
I'm actually looking into evo9 wings, wouldn't mind chucking one of those on the back (they have the carbon fibre middle bit if that's a look you were going for).

You could try to find an EVO 8 MR wing - They're all carbon fibre.

i attempted to lay real carbon over my wing but the resin wouldnt stick to the paint or the plastic. Unfortunatly i no longer have access to resin that would stick to plastic.

Personally if you are after the black look, just spray it black because fake stick on carbon never comes out as good as you want it to

i know ralliarts well, and i think in my head "look at that gay wing" everytime i see one...

I like the wings, but not those really high ones. My mums new 2007 Lancer ES has a nice wing on it and my Verada has a low wing. I'll have to take a picture of them both.

Its only a carbon fibre sticker my local sign place made it for me.
only wanted the top part done.

The orange car in the back ground is my CM valiant regal which i have had for about 10 years. I am slowly geting it back together.

Sorry mate, gotta agree - not a fan of the red dash parts.

But I think I know where your coming from. The stock silver in the Ralliart's doesn't match anything else in the car and unless you have a Silver Ralliart, it just looks out of place.
So you need to cover or paint it.

When I got mine, I hated the silver (and it was scratched as well).
I looked into CF coverings. Some looked too fake, couldn't find anyone to do real CF (and it would probably be too expensive anyway) and the only stickon type stuff from a professional shop was so thick that it wouldn't mould around corners right.
So it was back to paint. But what colour?
My panel shop suggested a dark grey, but I went with the same colour as the exterior of the car, Sable Black. Personally I like the black, blends in well, but that's partly because of my car being black as well.
So I can understand your decision process which ended in red.

How's it look in real life?
I know my interior seats (the red parts) look like bright stop light red in photo's but in real life they are much more subtle and a darkish red.

I like the red. breaks up the black a bit. too black makes the car stuffy and look small...IMO anyway

Hey mate, my son said the red doesn't look too bad.
He said it'd probably look good when you see it with the rest of the car because the car's red as well.
Main thing is - do YOU like it.

here is a day shot with no flash...That actually looks better. Red's still not my first choice, but being a Ralliart (so already kind-of over the top lol) and having a Red exterior, the red dash matches the exterior and the dash/steering wheel.
I expect it would look good in real life when your eyes take in the whole picture with the red exterior of the car, dash dials, steering wheel, etc.

Sorry to go off topic for a bit but just wondering why you put your fire extinguisher where it currently is? Maybe put it ahead of the driver's seat so it's out of way and doesn't intrude on front passenger seat leg space.

Thats where I put my fire extinguisher (same as the ralliart that is). I'm not a taxi driver...... if a passenger doesn't want their leg space intruded on, they can stretch their legs walking. :cool:

I saw Darren's car in the flesh last night. The red does not look as overpowering as it appears in the photos. It actually looks factory standard as there is enough black to contrast with the red console. Given that there is a sprinkle of red in the dash anyway, and the car is red it suits quite well. The carbon look spoiler looks good also.

As for the fire extinguisher, having it in front of the driver's seat, does it get in the way with the seat adjustments? (forward/backward, tilt up and down)

I put it there because it is out of the way enuff but is still within easy reach.
It doesnt get in the way of the passenger or the seat adjustments at all.
Puting it under the seat i am a bit worried about it getting hit by the seat
and setting it off.

It's hard to tell from that pic but i've attached the fire extinguisher to the front seat height adjustment rod with cable ties. It does not get in the way of anything when adjusting the seat as it moves with the seat. Also, the fire extinguisher won't go off unless the metal ring is pulled, unless you have a differently designed one.

I recently spoke with a guy who builds and races cars as well as tweaking road cars for performance, etc.
His advice for positioning the Fire Extinguisher was to have it as low as possible to make it safer in an accident. He's seen these break free from their brackets in an accident. But he also said you need to be able to see them and get to them easily, so don't hide them.
