Hey guys im new here and i just jumped on to see if you guys could help me with a problem iv got. Im installing my stereo at the moment.. but i need to know what wires are what. I got a 94 Magna... it has seven wires.. does anyone know what these wires are? Anyone with my model will probably know but i cant connect my stereo till i know whats what!...

i installed a headunit in ine not too long ago although mine is a TR. dont know if yours is same or TS. not sure if there the same or different
although i will recomend a site called www.installdr.com which has wiring diagrams and info for instaling car audio for most model cars.

ok going from my alpine unit to the loom here are the ones i can remeber off the top of my head

Red = Positive
Black = Ground
Blue without stripe= remote wire EDIT: this is for the amp not a remote control
blue WITH stripe = dont know (didnt need to hook it up)
Grey= Speaker wires front and rear drivers side
white = Speaker wires front an rear passenger side
this system was hooked up by a qualified technician i only know these wires because i was curious and needed to look hehehe (oh and i had to install my Subs somehow


hmm not sure about anymore but i can certainly look in the morning for you if you want i drive a TS Magna so the loom is the same hope this helps a bit

ok guys heres the go. I have 7 wires running from under my desh. I need to know what these wires are so i can connect the relevent ones to my head unit. The 7 wires are as follows:

Red
Red w/white stripe
Black
Black w/white stripe
Red w/green stripe
Green w/white stripe
Blue w/red stripe

The options would be as follows (i think):
Front Left Speaker Positive
Front Left Speaker Negative
Front Right Speaker Negative
Front Right Speaker Positve
Positve
Positve
Ant. Rem

Unit is earthed to chassis with my model..

Any ideas, the wiring diagram posted is weird

yeh that was the same as mine

yeh the black and red wires were for the speaker which i thought was plain stupid while the green was for power and blue was for ignition. Im not 100% sure tho so ud better check with a test light.
