I can get my hands on a cheap TH 3.5 engine and 4 spd Tippy gearbox.

As far as I know the tippy and the normal autos are the same box its just the electrnics that differ between them.

The question is:

Would the TH 4spd Tippy function in my KE, just hooked up as a normal auto. Id imagine they'd have the same ratios, both being 4spd/3.5L's. Im looking for a cheap way out of my transmission issues so I can save some dollars for a newer car.

If there are any things I should check please let me know.

And dont recommend manual conversion as Id go thru that many clutches it wouldnt be funny as I cant drive a manual for the life of me. Yes I know, Man Cans.

Yes. Drop in replacement, solenoid valve assy is pin for pin compatible. Tiptronic function is part of the ECU not the tranny.

I really wouldn't bother with auto magnas. I've destroyed 4 auto gearboxes beyond repair in just over 7 weeks.

The old KE 3.5 is looking at going into a TF Auto.

Will the KE's box have to go with it or will the box from the TF 3.0 function aswell as its got about 100,000 less km on it.
