Hey guys need your thoughts and help. I hate well not hate i dont think it will suit my future plains so what i want to buy or get a hold of is some surrounds where the woodgrain normally goes (i need black ones) and then i can add my own custom pain work to them (with the help of someon thats good with photoshop) cause i and the misses want something completely different and the woodgrain is nice but wont match the rest of the car. So any ideas where i could get some from

im sure you wont have any trouble getting rid of the wood grain on here, also you will be able to get plain balck ones off here aswell. hell i got some in the garage, might be keen to take some wood grain of you aswell. Post in the "For Sale" section mate thats where you wil get it all done

Why not just paint over the wood grain? Its only fake from memory so should be no harder than painting over the black variants.

just hit it with some wet n dry??? just enough to give you a decent surface to be painting..

The black needs sanding as well or the paint just runs, so you are gonna have to sand either surface.
No the wood grain doesn't peel off unless you have the eBay sticker type :P

If you wanted to sell it though, I'm sure it would get snapped up very quickly here... even swapped for a plain black one.
Now I think about that's a good idea. Seems a waste to paint over the wood grain... someone will swap with you.

i'd say painting the wood grain would be a no go, the woodgrain in the verada is rubbery, not sure about others though.

i painted over my woodgrain in a 98 verada because no-one on here wanted it. just sanded it back and gave it a few coats of black and then some clear and it's all good. i did it in a bit of a rush though so it's not the best job in the world but i'm happy for now. fix it later i say :D
