if you already have the lukey and your not happy with the sound, i dont like your chances of ever getting it as you only have the four cylinder. and im pretty sure only go 2 1/4, 2 1/2 is to big for the 4. maybe try a big arse cannon so you can be a fully sic mofo and rev your engine really loud while driving past people giving them death stares!!! (sorry, hope that doesnt offend anyone! LOL)

Me and a couple of owners in here will swear by MagnaFlow giving the best roar in a magna, coupled with Extractors and cat, mine sounds like a V8... :D

you want cheap and loud? EASY it's almost FREE! just remove the flange just after the CAT, have it braced to the side, and you've got a friking sic no restriction exhaust mate. !! HAHA. but you'll need to have ear plugs for the rest of your cars' life.
It was a joke, don't do it.
my honest opinion, your opinion will change once you've got it. I have a pretty loud cannon exhaust, it 'only' sounds good above the couple resonate frequencies i have in my car, i think both due to the exhaust set up. anyway, if it is above 3000rpm, it sounds good from the outside, but from the inside, it is bit loud... especially long drives, I wear ear plugs.
so, my 2cents, if you are going for a Cannon, Buy one with a FAT ass outter diameter, as it means it's got more noise absorbing material compared to the thin cannons. My is sht house bacause it doesn't absorb much noise from the tip so it drones quite bad.

i have lukey lr2779 on atm and it dont have nothing, doesnt even sound like much........
the lr2779 was designed to keep the V6's quite while giving better performance, let alone a 4cyl!!!
have a look at the size of the LR... its huge!!! all ya gotta do is find one that isn't so big and you'll get more noise!!! as for the note, prolly more $$$ = better sound... but i'll leave that to the professional's here

i have a redback muffler and it sounds really nice i think. can get pretty loud when warmed up. From anyone who is in the know, whats the difference between a redback and magnaflow in terms of sound and power improvements?

I like the redback system aswell!
Had it on my car for a bit over 2 years now and its still goin strong!
I think its a very good bolt on 2.5" cat back solution.
May be a bit big for a 4 cyl tho :(
