For these wheels? I'd have thought they'd be cheaper than that. Like 100 dollars a set or something.

PS - sorry my linkage is so ham-fisted.

This is just my 2c.
Why pay that much when you can get 3rd gen factory rims for that price.
They will look 100 times better and a lil bit bigger too.

Way too much.
I'm hoping to upgrade to 16's soonish, so will be looking then to get rid of my KR rims (see Post Your Ride (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showpost.php?p=753822&postcount=44)) for cheap, if they suited you. Probably wouldn't be looking for over $100.

Would these fit a second gen (I suspect they would). But do they look good. I'm unsure and confused...

Of course they would man:cool:
TR 300000, don't buy those ugly wheels please.
You can have these one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/16-Mitsubushi-Alloy-Factory-Mags_W0QQitemZ260156927007QQihZ016QQcategoryZ6782Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem for less than $350. Ask the seller if he would be willing to post them to you. Last year I sold 17" rim to a member in NSW, sent it by Australia Post for about $30.00. Went to tyre place, got the right size cardboard box, used duct tape of course and that's it. To easy.
Don't worry about tyres, they are the wrong size for magna anyway.
FTO wheel is 16x6.5, PCD 5x114.3, CBL 67.1 and offset is +38. They fit perfectly any 5 stud magna. I have them on 1999 TH altera for some time. Tyres are 215/55/16 Falken FK 452 at $189.00 each. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx or Good Year Eagle F1 GS D3 were about $25.00 dearer.

Yes! They look pretty darn good. I did want five spoke wheels. They would look good on a second gen.
Not sure about fitment though as 2nd gens have a +46mm offset and you say these are 38 so the wheelwill stich out nearly a 8mm more than it should plus probably 5mm of tyre (if running 215). Is 13mm significant?
Third generation has the same offset, +46 as your car. I am confident you can fit them on your car without any problems. There are number of second generation magnas with 17x7 VR-X wheels without any issues.

Can get a better set of mitsubishi rims compared to that price, think I got mine for $200 - $300 without tread, but they are one of the better mitsubishi rims going around.
Can be seen here: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=32379&d=1187102563
Personally I wouldn't even consider those wheels, they are pretty damn ugly by comparison to what else you can get thats genuine Mitsubishi.
Personally, I'd be looking out for some like KE 16" Alloys.
Edit: Actually, maybe make an offer on these? http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51837

:gtfo:
Mine look heaps better than the ones you posted, with no gutter rash. Plus I got a spare with new tread. :P
I'm in QLD too.

It looks like we need a Mitsubishi wheel FAQ or something. All the different types, photos, specs etc. I wouldn't mind putting something like that together actually if I could find the info.

Ok, I've been busy chopping.
I have the choice of these now for $200 or so for five (TH Magna)
http://i7.tinypic.com/6b4kewj.jpg
Or these later if I can find them. Stock verada so a ring around might get them at the wreckers. (KR Verada)

I also lowered the car a bit while I was at it.
Which ones?
