I own a 1995 TS Magna 2.6 four banger with standard brakes and I like the idea of abs brakes. I can get all the parts off a 1998 TF for conversion but would like to know if there are any major reasons why I should not do the changeover.

Why do you want to do this?
I would just upgrade to V6 brakes with the twin piston calipers
The ABS controller is part of the TF ECU isnt it? So unless you can get a TF ECU to work with your engine you'll have major conversion issues.
I don;t actually know anything about this so the above information could be complete crap.

Err... Just buy a TS Advance or KS Verada with ABS already equipped, not worth converting, too much ****ing around and you're tampering with the one thing saving your sorry ass from hitting a pole or other car.
Just put the KS twin pot front calipers on your car like I, TUFFTR and many others have done.

I think you should have done a little more shopping around when you bought your car. You can get cars with abs and airbags for only a 100-200 extra than the basic models (Private sale). Fitting them isn't worth it unless you're loaded.
