ok ppls as promised this is my $500 special
she's a 96 TS exec V6 auto
was originally bought by my parents when she was 3 years old and has a shade under 300,000kms on her
still original motor / box as far as i know
body (paint) is a little worse for wear but interior (when it's together) is in good cond
she's straight and rust free
the motor is just starting to blow a little blue smoke on full throttle but last time i drove her (about 12 months ago now ) she could still light up the front wheel under throttle
anyways enough from me here are the pics

lol yes well
when i bought her she had rego and i know the service history of the car given that she was my parents
we bought her for my stepdaughter about 12 months ago and she decided she didn't want it so i thought "bugger it"
in that time i'd lost the keys
hence why the ignition is apart in one of the pics

What was once $500 turns into a couple grand.
What are the plans? re-condition everything yourself, ie pull it out and replace/clean/swap etc

Sweet monkey jesus that looks worse than Johnny's stolen-joy-ridden Sigma :shock:Meh, apart from the steering wheel and the disassembled steering column, the rest of the interior looks pretty good (steering wheel definitely needs something done, replace if possible, at the least put a cover on).

most likely not
after rego i'll start looking for a verada interior for it then we will see from there
i can do any panel repairs (read re-spray) myself and it doesn't have any rust
mechanically we'll see what happens
all bushes and suspension components are in good nick although it appears the brake booster is shagged

The engine just needs a good clean, might be worth flushing the old engine oil out and doing a change, also a trans flush to start off with, make sure the air filter is ok too and not completly covered in dirt.

will be getting a full service (plugs leads dist cap fluids and filters) before it goes for a rwc
also needs new front screen and i gotta do something about only having those damned dash speakers :D
:edit:
just took it for it's first drive in 12 months and it's still smooth and doesn't knock tyres have a mud print on em from sinking into the front yard but you get that
and yeah the booster is gone
just happens i have a spare although they look like a royal pita to get out

i'm in south east melbourne
and it had rego but not anymore
as already said it was for my stepdaughter but she didn't want it and i couldn't afford to fix it at that stage
and it looks a lot worse than it is besides the steering wheel
all interior plastics are intact and in reasonable cond
cheers for the reply's
