Hi Guys,
just wondering if Verada door trims are a straight swap for the stock exec ones. I understand I need to make a hole for the window winder, but otherwise they will bolt on? Also do you know if you can put front trims on the rear doors? Thanks,
Sam

Yes, Verada trims are a straight swap. If going for the power window handle, be aware that you need to also get the metal bracket that the handle bolts to, as it is longer than non-power ones.
Front for rear is an obvious and definite NO! Think about it.

Sorry but the answer is actually no!.....the pod the power window switches sit in will hit the handle.
You can use your exec trims, change the upper panel and fit the speaker pods and then aside from the manual window winder you will barely tell. You will need also the wire up the caution light as well in thelower part of the panel.

The arm rests are interchangeable though aren't they? So the exec ones could go on a verada one... But for the effort, probably easier to modify the exec.
Quick tip; to find where to drill the holes for the speaker pods, put a dab of paint on each... erm... "screw receptacle" on the pod, position against the trim and press hard. Hey presto, instant position markers.
As for the speaker cutout, trace a template off the verada one.

I found it was easier to put the screws in, not all the way, sticking out a bit, put white-out on all of them and quickly position it on the door pods and then you get clear indicators. The "screw receptacles" (:bowrofl: ) where too far in...was easier this way.

Hmm thanks guys. Still sounds like quite a lot of work. I have some speaker pods (generic) but they won't fit on due to the stupid window winder... How hard was it to install electric windows? Did you buy an aftermarket kit or fit from a verada?
Why is it obvious that the front trims won't go on the rear? Wasn't that silly of a question was it?

See my recent power windows thread (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50589)
