Hi all,
Just got a letter advising me of the new Response amps which have just been released.
Does anyone know of a audio mag or web review on these? I have googled them but no reviews so far.
There is:
4x100W AA-0456 RRP$399
5 channel full range (4 channel + Sub) AA0458 RRP$499
1000W Linkable Monoblock AA0460 RRP$399
Cheers

Great bang for buck there, probably the best value around for new gear...
(but you still get what you pay for :P)

good bang for buck but i would stay away from the mono for a few months we hooked one up to a dd2515 and without the remote wire or rca's hooked up the sub was pulsing, so in a few months they should have that sorted if it becomes and issue but then again it may of been a one off issue

hmm yeah Im thinking of upgrading my 2x150W (bridged to run my Response sub) to the 1000W monoblock and using the smaller one to run some rear speakers...
Dunno if its a good idea or not yet... went to an audio place and he reckoned that the sub was under powered (300W sub, the amp bridged is 500W :doubt: ) and that it suffered "shocking group delay"... whatever that is. He also wanted to take it out of the 25ltr sealed box (which is what is recommended for the sub) and put it in a big ported box...
So yeah dunno yet...
If I get it I might run another group buy like i did last time as I buy them much less than RRP.

they arent actually out yet but the guy on MEA who was testing them said they were better again than the old ones, especially the 4x100 and the mono
aparently they are gonna be black with a different logo too, which is annoying cos my amps wont match :(

I'd be very keen on one of those 5ch
CBF with having 2 amps, getting a splitter box, etc.
Do you have any idea if the 5ch can take High Level ins???

they should or other wise get a converter from supercheap or autobarn
i've got a schneider 5 channel amp, which is only on my 15" cause i've got another schneider 4 channel for the speakers. it made 129.1db , i thought was all right, now cause i've got a bigger box and the other amp i made 140.0 last week, hehe. if you want some thats not going to cost you the earth and what not, the 5 channel would be the go but again there usualy a little bigger :D

:bowrofl: I don't want it to be heard all around the whole neighborhood like my last system.
I personally don't like the hi-to-low converters as I find they kill alot of the low end that comes out of the headunit.
The system i'm going to put into my car wasn't going to comprise of a sub, I was looking into 5 channels but they were either too cheap or way overpriced. It seems that response is a decent player in the car audio scene providing great value for money. So in other words it looks like i'll be having a sub again..... which brings me onto my next issue
I need a sub and box that doesn't take up much room in the boot. Been looking into the Kicker slimline sub and box. Can't remember what size it was.

From the photos it's hard to see, but the logo looks the same or similar... like I said though its not real clear... The logos are up one end written width ways, not length ways like the previous ones.
None have that middle different coloured strip like the previous amps, its just a solid one piece top.
The 1000W is silver, not black like the rest and I can't see a logo on it... there is some writting on the top but its not clear.
Damn... I checked on the website yesterday and found them, but now they have gone again... I should have done a screen dump, would have been easier than describing them.
