Hi all
I am wanting to lower my TS in the next 3 - 4 weeks and i was wondring if any one could give me there opinions on whats the best springs to use, will i need new shocks and also is there any other parts i will need sway bars and stuff like that any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
here are the specs of my car
TS Magna
150,000k -if that means anything in this case
15" Mags ROH -not adrenalin (SP)
standard Shocks with in good condition as far as i can tell
standard springs
i have heard that loweing the front 2" and the rear 1.5" is good any 1 got a opinion on that and other setups? anyways i want to at least go as low as this setup
thanks anyone that replys
Heath
I've lowered my ks verada with king springs and changed the shockers to
match the springs. The spings were the variable rate ones and the shocks
are the Munroe Premium GT Gas shocks with variable damping. I needed
front camber kits as well. It was initially lowered 1.5" alround but the rear
sat too high so I changed the rear ones to 2" and the rear still sits slightly
higher but with a car full of people its quite level.

That just means that your rear springs have sagged. The weight ratio F/R
is approx 60/40 on the magnas so even with a full tank of petrol and no
person in the car my rear is still slightly higer then the front. Then again,
the verada has more weight up front then a magna.

i used kingsprings LOW in my TS wagon...brought it down 1.5" all round.
i go super lows or even lower on a TS...look fatter...i ended up chopping my rear springs so it brought it down anoth 2.5"
On the topic of lowering, I went to the mag wheel and tyre centre Prospect
to get a rotation and balance and saw a photo of a red TL Magna VR AWD
on their wall of fame. Its been lowered 1.5" and fitted with 18" wheels
(looks similar to TJII VRX wheels but the spokes are flared out more at
the rim). Now correct me if i'm wrong but I read somewhere that the AWD
cannot be lowered and fitted with larger wheels due to clearance problems
but the owner of MWTC said there were no problems.
