what i want to know is actual heights for different suspension setups. now i know other things like wheel and tyre sizes can alter the actual height, so what i was wanting was height from centre of the wheel to the guard. this should give a ride height that can be compared between all setups.

the reason why i ask is that i have superlows in the front of my TH and it is sitting on bump stops, so i cut about 20mm off the bump stops and it is still sitting on them. the tyre is probably about 30mm from the guard and i want to know how much lower it is going to go before i get suspension travel. if it is going to go too low i will rip the springs out and get a set of lows to put in.

think the standard min height allowed from ground to chassis when lowering is 100 mm

need to look at state modification rules

did you not read my post at all? i don't care about the height off the ground. i don't care if it is legal height or not (and i am well aware of the 100mm, and mine is well above that). i am not after that height. i want the distance from the centre of the wheel (the hub) to the guard. this is how you measure how far a car has been lowered from standard even if the wheels have been changed. if you only go off ride height, that will change even just between a new set of tyres and a worn set by a few mm.

i don't care if people are running monster truck tyres and you can walk under the car it is that high off the ground. all i want is distance from hub to guard so i can compare it to my car and see how much lower the superlow springs are going to make it.

i measured mine this morning and it is about 36cm from centre of the wheel to the wheel arch on te front with king super lows. i measured a stock magna in the carpark and it was 42cm, so i know that mine is as low as it is going to go. but i am going to put a set of lows in to lift it back up a bit and get some suspension travel back.

also, does anyone have any old bump stops out of their car that they could measure up to see how big they are? i still have about 4-5cm of bump stop left (after cutting off about 2cm)

Front: before 420mm, after 370mm. Rear : before 399mm, after 368mm.
Hit the bump stop twice since installed two years ago.

what suspension are you using?

mine is about the same height as yours and it is sitting on the bump stops. i think they are the monroe strut mate kit that use huge bump stops.
