dont touch them.

my friend bought a monoblock rampage amp, had it set half way and after half an hour after installing it and driving back from newcastle to sydney (he has a mate or something that did his audio... dont ask) and it died... partial blame was to do with his H/U apparently too

bought himself another monoblock pioneer amp, i think, dirt cheap from JB HI-FI and hasnt failed him yet

EDIT: whoops, sorry i thought u were asking whether to get them.. sorry, but yea it's probably ur H/U that is the culprit to the amp problems.. i'll talk to him 2morrow and see wat really happened and get back to u

Ha pulling 140.1db from yelling after you blow up your 5th sub must be bad for your health...

if your now looking for a cheap amp that will last ya, i'd point you in the direction of Jaycar's range. really good value, and my 4 by 100 hasn't failed me yet, despite bouncing around in my boot for 2 years.

Remember that running subs outside a box can make them cry, especially when you're turning it up (aka don't do it as they don't have the mechanical resistance to help them perform)

^^^ Its like having a set of DD's free from the restrains of a bra, when in fully motion it can be very dangerous to their health and cause all kinds of problems. When they have support, the motion is perfect, hypnotising... beautiful:D

Mate of mine had a problem like that, turns out he had a **** earthing point on his amop and it kept shorting.

I got my sub and amp combo for dot on $600 and it's puttin out 140db's... so i was pleased with my money :D
