I am considering these Speedywheels Holotype-Rs... I have been quoted $200/each today and $1820 packaged with Michelin Pilot Precedas.
17x7" with 235/45/R17.
Here's my photochop:

They look really nice.
I like them.
My son has them on his pulsar but in 16's, origanaly they were the rims I was going to get, I think they look alright

That seems a good price for the Precedas. i've always had a great run with any Michelins, and I don't expect the Preceda to be any different.
The wheels look good too (similar to what I wanted before settling on the Viper Lugarno).
On a side note, looks like the Preceda is one of the very few 235/45 tyres that can legally be fitted to a 7" rim (I'd still ask the tyre guy to confirm it in his wheel & tyre fitment guideline - as that book is written based on Australian tyre fitment regulations)
you'll have to let us know how they go if you do get them. I'm due for a couple of new tyres for mine (to replace tho godawful Falken 326's :p )

Good deal...look nice and clean to !
hehe, Ive been looking at some spoke white wheels for my VRX.. hmmm
Looks good but I personally prefer wheels with a dish look, ala the new GTVI
wheels (I'm into lips :D )

Personally I prefer the Dished look, but........
When You have the spokes to the edge of the rim, as the ones you like are..it does tend to make the rim look bigger that an equivilent sized Dished wheel, but.......
Dished wheels look tougher :p

Yeah I'm also a bit concerned that running on 235s will make these 7" wheels look a bit out of proportion; with all that tyre bulging out. Sort of like when that chick back at highschool wore a bra 2 cups too small :D
Also considering the Avantek Titantium (Black Chrome) but not sure if I want a "look at me" (steal me) wheel.
The fact that the Holotype-R are on special is swaying me... also the missus is telling me to get them but she is probably just saying that to get me to shutup finally (been looking at wheels for 2 years now haha).
I'll ring insurance on Monday and do the figures to see if I can get them... Hopefully if I do it will be in time for the next Vic cruise :p
Thanks for the feedback guys..

The wheels look ok, just the colour, or is that just how they chopped in to the pic.

Thats one of the colours they are made in. a dirty copper/gold colour. They
also come in white and black me thinks.

Yeah for some reason when I reduced the brightness/contrast to match that of the photo, the wheels turned a champagne color

I ordered the wheels today; they were out of stock for Michelin Pilot Precedas so I am going for the Falken Azenis ST115 in 235/45/R17 (same price).
Damn RACV would only let me go 0.5" wider than Vicroads allow 1", so that ruled out getting the CSA 'Force' which are 7.5".

Just came back from the tyre shop... Am really pleased with the way it has turned out; they look much bigger than 17s.

Thanks for the feedback guys, kewlsolara: originals were 15x6.5". Surprisingly the harshness in ride hasn't gone up too much at all; it was already bloody hard ;)... I could only imagine what 19s would be like though.
