Hey all,
Just having another issue with transmission, just driving home when I noticed "N" started flashing. Wondering what this could be?

There is a slight whining like a belt slipping when I take off.

I'd be taking that to the nearest mechanic ASAP

I'm pretty sure the quick flashing means the oil is overheating, could be mistaken,

Ahh man, why this right after the timing belt :cry:
I need to drive to work (30km). Would it be safe to drive these 30km, even if its like a granny. Cause I have no other way to work.
From that sound, it sounds like the torque converter to me

i checked my car manual, it says if it flashes twice a sec it's the fluid overheating, not sure about the noises you're getting tho

dont delay
change the auto fluid and filter
black means burnt and may be the drive and friction plates have started to deteriorate

Hey seriously u should be putting your car in for a check... with my experience of paying $1450 for a new transmission 1 month ago, there is a few possibilities...
- sticky solenoid in the transmission causing your gears to not function properly
- dirty transmission oil...
if i were u i would book it in asap
if i had booked my car in when this first started i would have saved $1250 cause the mechanic told me that it all started with only a simple sticky solenoid for my TL...
next the gears would start to slip and you would wonder whats going on, if this happens call the tow truck, dont save the $100 and end up wrecking the groves in the gears, which i did..
