Hey Guys and Girls.
I am looking at going a retrofit of 3rd gen Ignition/Doorlocks/BootLock etc to My TR.
Have any of you people done this?
I can get my hands on The Ignition Barrel. Both front door KeyLocks. Boot Lock.
Thought that it should be a pretty easy swap?
Any thoughts on this?

Understood. Here is a pick of the stuff.
I am confident that I can get it to work.

TE Ignition Barrel is steering column mounted, its probably the best bet. TF onwards is dash mounted.

My KE is dash mounted.

Thats interesting, everything I can find says one of the updates in the TF was the moving of the ignition to the dash from the steering column. KE I'm not sure about, but are you sure you've got a TE Matty? :bowrofl:
Edit: Hmm...maybe the couple of TE's I've looked at are really early 96 ones, cause I can't find a single TE for sale with the steering mounted ignition.....I'll be damned if I know!

would save alot of fecking around with engineering on mitsus part if they were all made dash mounted. less engineering=more cash...what's better than more cash??
also, dr1309, you do realise you'll have to remove the lock barrels from the door handles to be able to fit them yes? just making sure.

I'd think toyota'd be competing more with mazda and nissan than toyota (big T has a billion more sales than mitsu)
