That button on your auto shifter will get mighty dirty and stained.

Otherwise, good job!

i sanded it back and clearcoated it multiple times. so its fairly glazed
so hopefully its doesnt
but if it does. i zipped to the wreckers the other day and bought a spare shifter button.

AH AH no i dont... when i went to the wreckers i picked up a ciggy lighter, calliper nipple, and pedal rubbers as well (got stung for being unroadworthy)...and i lost the accelaration 1 so these were only temporary from last monday.. and whilst they were temporarty i had bolt covers on the back so they were a little safer
i may sound dumb but i have a brain LOL

in regards to the dash... yes i have plans for the WHOLE interior
too much to explain. lets just say LUXURY.. costly but it will happen

Gerard

AH were do i start.. lol

but im not gonna... ive bitched enough about it in the past

but i did find 6 clips all underneath the carpet in the boot and i didnt know what they were for. so i kept them.....
about 2 months into owning the car 3 of the scuffplates started fallling and off and the middle of the dash just fell out lol
got out the tarzan grip mixed and matched the clips onto the correct mounts and glued em back on
i was then thinking of getting the numberplates CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG or BRUM seeing my car started dismantling itself lol

D-Van has the gloss black look. Its not as eye jarring as the white lol.

i dunno about the bright colors in the cabin myself
i sprayed the whole interior of my calais satin black cos it doesn't really reflect the light

on the whole though i'll say it looks good just
bright :D

binzer
20-09-2007, 07:56 AM
yeah but its kinda hard to mix and match with black seeing the interior is like a huskey grey bluey colour.
so i just went white. its bland and plain, fits in with the body
and its really not bright at all.

oh well

next step is the doors trims..
does any 1 know if i need to buy a special material or can i just hit down the local sewing shop and get some pretty heavy duty stuff.
Vinyl?
Leather?
Suede?

if so ill do it tonight

binzer
20-09-2007, 08:37 AM
also how do i remove door cards
door handles?

perry
20-09-2007, 09:05 AM
Theres only those 3 screws, other then that a heap of clips which just pull straight out. If you feel along the bottom of the trim, theres a bit in the middle where you can fit your fingers into, which allows you to easily pull the trim towards yourself, dislodging the clips, don't worry these clips are pretty hard to break, and every time I've done it, bout 10 door trims now, none of them have broken. Be sure that you remove the grey plastic moulding around the door handle, if you don't then your going to end up breaking a little clip that help holds the moulding in nice and tight. Once you dislodged the clips pull the door trim straight up to dislodge it from the within space where the window glass slides in and then your all done. Don't be afraid to use a bit of force, unless something still does feel very solid or if it feels as if somethings going to break. Its pretty easy once u get the hang of it. Just to double check, have you actually removed the window winder???

hope that makes sense
