Hi everyone. After test driving lots of imports and that I've finally decided to keep the magna. So its time to start modifying it :D .
Hopefully I'll be dropping it on 18's soon and some other stuff. But first I want to modify the grill. I have a TH and it all looks easy enough. But i don't know what mesh to use and where to get it from. I just want something clean and simple, not that autotechnica stuff
And what do you all think... keep the centre piece, cut it completely off, or leave the triangle bit at the top with the mitsu bit and cut the rest? I'm thinking of having it all sprayed black when its done (I have a white car) to set it apart and make it look more agreesive.
Anyway, all help and any suggestions would be great cause i really don't want to stuff it up

hey

well the main mesh most people use is that autotechnica stuff. I have it on my car. It doesnt rust and is easy to mould. Not sure exactly what type of mesh your after Either cut the center part of the grille except for the top (mitsubishi symbol part) or cut the top and bottom part to give it the evo look. Think it would look good if you have black/dark mesh and the grille either white or black.

yeah thats what inspired me to do it. and those jap ones. I decided to just use the autotechnica stuff. its not the worlds best job but does look better. But i'm going to keep the centre bit for the time being cause I wasn't satisfied with the job. So i'll leave it till my next attempt. I might give the stock front bar ago as well.

Try a steel supplier that does perforated metal or mesh, I got mine from a blace in Melbourne called Metal Mesh of all names, they have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth there web site is
www.metalmesh.com.au they are the supplier of mesh to HSV and FPV
