Gday to all from Gippsland, Vic
I have a TH 3.5lt LS Exec. I have noticed for a while that the accelerator pedal becomes sticky off idle. Thought it may have been cable, so i replaced it. Have now noticed a fair amount of movement at the cam that the cable attaches to on the side of the carb. Can the sticking be adjusted out by moving the slider on top of the manifold. When manually twisting the cam i can feel an inital notch then frees up and its fine. Have thought about rebushing it but cost versus replacing comes into play. Does that part change accross TH range or all 3.5's at all?
Would be greatful for assistance.

If there's a black mark around the outer edge of the butterfly valve then it's probably just build up of grime. Use some throttle body cleaner to clean it. Fixed my sticky throttle when I first bought my TJ 3.5.

Thanks to you both. Doing both these things has cured the problem. Simple thing to fix just not mechanically minded to start. I might give some mods a go.
