i dont think any of them look that great except of the soundstream tarrantula thisgys, but if you go to the local car audio place ie strathfield, jb, autobarn, they all have an account with aerpro, you can get them to show you some from the ordering book. they have some with neons, led and all thet other junk. check em out if you can be bothered
nothe beats the look of a bare sub.
Try walking into bunnings and getting some kitchen door handles.
Sounds odd I know but there is one design that is brushed/polished aluminum/stainless and is one piece so it's like a rather stretched "[" if you can imagine that in a 28mm length...
Look a mighty bit classier than a ****ty plastic molded grille.

The bare sub comment is true. but I'd like some of those mainly to protect it. Because my boot is frequently used and i wouldn't wantto accidentaly jam something into the speaker!

Polk Momo do a decent grill, sturdy, not as ricer boy as the trantulla one, and fully covers the 12" sub, as far as i know, there is no polk badging on it. It looks good.

It looks like that things cover, minus the polk sticky and imagine it 12" and coaxial free.

That looks like a grille for a 6" component speaker... lol
Also remember!
Unless you want you're sub bashing against the grille whilst it's playing measure/find out the excursion of the speaker so it does not hit the grille you finally choose, i mean, the kitchen drawer handles you finally choose.

Lol... that picture is, but yes essentially, the 6" component grille and sub one are almost the same, but obviously the sub's would be larger.
Davo!

I beleive the screws on that towel rack are on the inside, so i'd have to take the subwoofer box apart to do it...AHEM... NO!
Allthough my parents are getting a new ensuite! i might hook them up with one? or perhaps i should give them a spinning subwoofer cover with blue LED's to hang their towels on?

Selly's liquid nails? That'll take as much impact as a poxy plastic grille anyday.

Word. Handles would also cop the biggest whack since they're made from metals not crappy plastic.

ummm how does a towel rack of ANY sort screw in from behind?
i don't know of any?
there is usually a base that you screw to the wall and a grub screw that holds it in place
a guy i know has done it with a cpl of towel racks in a VP but because it's not my car i'm not gonna post pics of it
anyone who knows the car i mean can tho

i was thinking cupboard handles :P
i was thinking cupboard handles :P
Yeah, They either have a thread on the actual handle and you screw a nut on from behind or they have a threaded hole and you screw in a metal thread bolt from behind, chuck a bit of lock-tight on it and you're sweet for a very long time.

Get bigger kitchen drawer handles! 2.5cm to 1" so 15*2.5 = 37.5cm.. Just go to bunnings and have a look-see..

My subwoofer box has been screwed together and then i have applied silicone to seal it 100%! so if i uncsrew my subwoofer box i'll have to take the old silicone off and re silicone it back together! besides i don't like the kitchen door handle idea.

i experimented with this, you dont get as good a sound when it facing the rear seat port, best to have it up the back facing the rear of the car.

Me: "It's a box where i stash my AvGas"
Friend "Really?"
Me: "No"
