That looks unreal!!! Quite a decent dish for a front wheel drive car. Do you know what the offset is? You'd hate them to rub on the inside of the guards or suspension when you turn full lock.

Errr....

Haven't even considered it :doubt: - what is the maximum offset for a 380? Depends on the rim size, whether it is lowered or not?

I'll have to talk to the shop and make sure.

My new rims are 18x8 with 35 offset & with 235's, they sit a mil or 2 outside the guards on the front. The smaller the offset, the more dish however I'm not sure what the maximum offset is for a 380. PCD for a 380 is the same as a Falcon (RWD) so if you go to a slightly dodgy tyre mob, they may get the rims for a Falcon, which will fit on your car but being FWD, there is a chance they will rub on something that they're not suppose to.

Thats interesting because my old TH had 17x8 ROH 'RT' 35 offset with 235/45/17 and they rubbed at the front when on full lock but that was lowered 1.5". Maybe its when you drop the height it causes problems.

How are you finding the ride on 35 profile? And do u have any plans to go lower?

I thought I might get 45 to soften things a bit as per Blue 380.

And no, I'm sticking with 19s.

i don't have a problem with 35 profile but i cant really compare it to stock cause i took the wheels off the day i got the car. the only issue i have is that im getting an output shaft speed sensor error or something like that. mitsu reckon its cause of the wheels but im too lazy to put the stock ones back on. lol

You may have trouble getting 19's in 45 series - initially I was told I couldnt get them in 18'. Further research indicated 235/45/18 were only made by Goodyear, Kuhmo & Pirelli ($580 per tyre). A couple of places told me there were none of that size in the country & it would take 4 weeks to get them in. I just think if they are rare in 18's, they would only be harder to find in 19's.

Please dont think I'm trying to put you off doing it, I'm just letting you know about some of the dramas I faced. & whilst talking about softer rides, neither my wife or I noticed the ride to be any harder after going to the bigger wheels (good news)- could be a different story after lowering.

Not at all :D

I was also worried about cost too. If you haven't found any deterioration in ride that's a big plus.
The wheels come in a package and I havn't found out what the tyres are yet. It's a bargain so if the tyres are something crap I will pay extra and upgrade them.

I found that whenever they came as a package and were cheap (ie $1300 - $1500 for 18's), the tyres were very dodgy/unknown brand. I paid $2400 for 18x8 Koya rims (apparently pretty good brand) with Goodyear Eagle tyres. Could have got package for $2300 with Kuhmo's & even cheaper again if I went with 40 series. I got conflicting info from numerous tyre places so dont necessarily believe the first one you speak to - hope this helps.

The package is 2400 so I think the tyres will prob be Kuhmos or the like.

What do you suggest is good versus cost (since you've already done some research :D ) ?
I'd be happy with Toyos if the size is right.

Except for the green paint work, I'm guessing your car will look something like this after you get your rims!!!

I am literally green with envy.

Got everything fitted today and ended up with 245/40 R19 FK452 Falkens. This gives me almost the same rolling diameter within a few mm. The rims are 38 positive offset which I was told is the same as standard fit.

Threw a wheel weight off on the way home unfortunately.

It looks great and will post some pics shortly.

Not really, no. Small amplitude bumps make it a little jiggly, but overall my fears were groundless.
