i was wondering if n e 1 knew exactly how much power our cars are putting out with stock parts? torque if n e 1 can give me that too..

I've got extractors, 2.5" mandrel bent cat back exhaust, lukey LR2779 muffler, K&N panel filter, RPW custom clutch, advanced ignition timing (running only BP Ultimate now) and I reckon I'd have 135-140kw now...but My engine is very old and tired so that'd prolly bring the power down, and it hasn't been dyno proven. I will dyno the new dohc when it's run in for sure though.

ive forgotten where it was but i think i saw that the auto four cylinders where about 70kw at the wheels. does this sound about right?

I'm pretty sure that for the 4 cylinders:

Carby: 85kw Stock
EFI: 98kw Stock

This I think is from when the engine was brand new. My TR carby is sooo not accelerating as much as it should/used to. I wouldn't be surprised if mine was like around 80kw atm lol. After 206,000kms what do you expect??

The V6 will put out 128 on 98 Octane fuel

The 4 will put out 102 on 98 Octane fuel

killbilly: thats a lot of mods man.. and 130-40 sounds pretty good. but yeh.. car being that old i guess does set back the car a bit

My extractors were the prototype set of RPW's design, so the price was different, TZABOY has practically the same mods as me (including extractors) He'll be able to tell you the price of them. But you have a 4 cyl so Im sure they'll be cheaper.

The panel filter was about 100-120 bucks, plus the 30 for the re-oiling kit. You can get the oval pod filter for about 200-250 I think, and again you need the oiling kit.

The clutch was about 700 bucks, expensive but VERY worth it, the difference in strength of clutch is amazing, and it's only the slightest bit heavier on the foot.

Cat back exhaust + muffler and tip = 490, a little bit more than most people have paid here..but the place I go to has a solid reputation and I trust their work completely and am prepared to pay a little extra for that.

Ignition timing = free ;) You just need a timing light and a 12mm (If I remember rightly) spanner. I can explain how to do this in detail if you want.

I wont get getting a recondition though, I have a DOHC 24v 6G72 3.0l V6 ready to go in my car mid march. Which are 220hp (163kW) in stock form. I scored that for $650 so Im not complaining!!! :D
