i came across a new addition to the jay car catalog, used also with a ignition kit also available. this self built circuit board, will advance/retard the ignition timing, using a knock sensor from a wreckers
i know that many ppl are disapointed about the 3rd gens not having a knock sensor, so i hope this will work, does any one think this might not work? and where would you position the knock sensor?

Cute idea, but difficult in practice. It uses their programmable ignition circuit, which really isn't adaptable to our ignition systems unfortunatly.

If you could adapt this circuit to a piggyback computer that would then intercept the crank angle sensor, potentially you could do it.

People have been installing saab apc to control turbo boost by listening to knock (the apc was fitted to saab 900 / 9000's circa mid 1985)

Some serious stuffing though.
