That is what i am referring to Binzer. Where else on the gearbox other than the drive shaft seal on the diff. Coz i pretty much know for certain it isnt leaking there considering i just replaced the drive shaft and the seal.

And it runs out like a tap when on 35 degrees plus of an angle.

have ya forgot to replace any drain bolts,
what condish are your gaskets/seals in that area in.

and how exatly do you know its comming out of your gear box.
cause if ya did then ya would know were its leaking
get some 1 to drive it up a steep driveway. while ya pin point the leak.

hoist it up

if its completly draining out then that cant be good

OK, everybody.

If you can remember the thread i posted with the driveshaft seal problem. Well, lets just say after replacing the seal, then getting a gearbox place to replace the seal again and tell me that i need the bearing rebuilt(i LOL'd), and then replacing the cv shaft(confirmed joint clicking while turning right when car is cold) and replacing the seal again.

The problem still exists.

Now i have had the car sitting on flat ground for over a week. I have narrowed it down to the fact that it only leaks when on a 35 plus degree angle.

Now the oil that the gearbox place put in was running out like water, or realistically engine oil, today at lunchtime when i parked the car on the driveway(35 plus degree angle) and the car was at normal temp. But i wouldnt think that gear oil would run out like engine oil.

Now i can only assume that it never had anything to do with the drive shaft seal. And that the problem is up further on the gear box. This would explain why it only leaks on upward angles. I have not tried parking on a downward angle yet either.

I am really getting to the end of my patience with this car.

Can anyone who has appropriate knowledge give me some suggestions?

Cheers.

this is going to sound rather stupid, but it the filler bolt tight, or even still there? i only have my magna workshop manual on the other computer so i can't check to see if there are any other spots.

Check speed sensor "O" ring. If not leaking there I would suspect that drive shaft seal is damaged during installation.
Although gear oil has much higher viscosity than engine oil it is very runny when hot.

cheers mate, i put the car on ramps last night and had a good look. It is coming from the seal alright. I can only imagine the surface of the shaft that runs on the seal is stuffed, or the bearings have gone in the diff.

If the later part is the outcome, i believe you guys will soon see a 3.5L Manual TF come out of this little deal. Cos there is no way i am spending over 2 grand to get the diff overhauled!

New motor and gearbox FTW. lol
