SRS..... WTF does it mean.
i checked my manual and it seems pretty serious (it was all about WARNINGS & dangers on brakes and saftey ) Supplemental restrain system

the Light came on last night. im not sure if its cause im running low on fuel.
but it turns off when i use the brakes (fades away)

not that i care right now.

becuase its not the only problem.

lol SRS is airbags dude

Not sure if it helps. But last time the SRS was coming on and off randomly in my ES, one of my side airbags had to be replaced. You may want to get your dash bulbs looked at. Who knows what warnings have flashed up : )

UNLESS they are another 1 of ashneels SPECIAL aftermarket MODS that i didnt know about

only thing saving my life is the the solid airbagless mitsu steering wheel. lol
and my sloshy brain may somewhat dampen the impact lol

Dont be stupid cars a cars and they always have problems, i highly doubt an airbag issue will send you into a tree, it wont help if you do drive into a tree as it most likely wont deploy lol

Dude, there is no light on the dash that will fore-warn you of an impending tree crash. If you don't have airbags, but you are getting an airbag warning light, could it be that there is a wiring fault?

Yeh a better shot is needed, i don't think that is the SRS warning light.
If your car didn't come with airbags, it shouldn't have an SRS warning light hooked up to a sensor.

i figured its a wiring fault if its only showing half the SRS symbol

but SRS or /!\ appears if there is an faults on the car , brakes, seatbelts, drive (according to the mitsu manual)

Binzer you took the cheaper option when you decided to by Ashneels car. Dont go bitching on the forums that you got "ripped off". If you feel you did, complain to him, not to AMC.

On this issue, take it to a Mitsu dealer or mechanic if your so worried, otherwise ignore it. It could be a light malfunction, or there could be some serious issue. We've got no idea, so do the smart thing and get it checked...

Seriously dude, I don't think thats going to help much. The main restriction in the intake is the factory snorkel (not enough cross sectional area). The air coming in will be roughly the same temperature as what the standard intake gets anyway, so no real COLD benefits.

But that defeats the purpose of it being there. The snorkel already gets cool air, but is a restriction to air FLOW....with it still being there I can't see the small extra pipe doing to much of a difference.....in my opinion anyway.

his would have alot more intake going in seeing intake pipe is the same if not bigger diameter as the snorkle

does it just consist of cooled air going into your engine instead of normal passing air

and what is the limit of COLDNESS you can pump through you engine. is it bad to constantly have freezing cold air.

E.g Freezer air. (i have a cooler panel out of a "battery operated engle" (little freezer esky)

It should work, I can see the benefit of keeping looking stock, but it's just easier to use a nice and clean single pipe and ring clamp.

Actuially you could squeeze 90 hosing onto the air pox pickup anyway. Unless you set on keeping the snorkel, just make sure you attach it at a softer angle.

First few coats was just black spray paint, in this case left over Calliper paint I had. Then I added a few very light (with quick strokes) coats of exterior touch up pain (in a can) thats the closest match I had to the Champagne TF paint. The end effect is a very nice smoked platinum effect, helps that the surface was rough, the fuel rail come out with a different effect due to the smoother surface. I'll get a close up of what it looks like.

the low fuel light is just on the left of the SRS light i reckon whats happened is the overlay has shifted in the dash just a fraction. open up the dash and move it back into place and the low fuel will be lit up rather than half the srs.

youre the ball mate.
while i was driving and i pressed on the brakes. causing the SRS to fade out (like a petrol light should seeing the petrol flows to the front of the tank)

i filled up last night and i havent seen it since
when i got home i removed my dash, clusters, and looked into it a bit more. it has bumped out and the SRS window had moved across, easy fixed


so all in all. it wasnt really a big problem. it was just a meer misunderstanding due to a bump in the cluster, dislodging a bulb to the UN-USED SRS light

ive been on edge and worked up for quite some time, due to personal issues (i wont tell you my life story) and i did the totaly wrong thing by letting the steam out on the members and this forum.

it wouldn't be worth it, nor would you get something powerful enough to keep something cold (especially in the engine bay) without compromising the overall power of the car.

You would probably get better results by putting some dry ice in your intake just before the air filter :bowrofl:

Seriously, don't bother, what you have is fine. Save up your money and get some real modifications like Cams, ECU, etc

bloody good advice mate. im not a fan of taking shortcuts/cheap mods, but i wouldnt mind testing and trying a few things while i am saving and gaining new mods, only tempororay stuff
