this is going to sound quite dumb im sure - but here goes.

within 24hours of having the verada in my name, i had the stock premium head unit (with 6stacker) taken out and replaced with all alpine gear (motorised screen, dvd, mp3 stacker etc)

but stupid us... left the cd's in the mitsi headunit and then we unplugged it and removed and replaced.

can i get the cds out of it without having to pull the dash apart and make sence of the wiring and plugs to get the cds out - or is that my only option, put back into dash to get the cds out.
i have the mitsi head unit code - but i had to ring mitsi to get it. havnt tested it tho. anyhow

silly question i know - arrising from a silly error in not removing the cds before taking the unit outa the car.

(il eventually get around to posting pics of the setup... one day - cant rush these things.. only had the car 5weeks)

yer dude, just use a rectifier. set it to 12 volts and turn the head unit on. simple as pie

Easy as, just pop your bonnet, hook up the power & ground to your battery and press eject (will need to hook up permenant 12v and accessory 12v).
Had to do it to one of my HU's to get a cd out.

but an exploded h/u would also work for getting cds out - but i dont think that they would be good after that experience!

i wouldnt be stressing if they where all burnt cd's - but for a change i loaded it with purchased ones.
damn - see kids, dont buy legit music, it gets stuck in car head units! lol jk!

il use the ltd for the power sources - as i have allready got a hole in the dash from where i removed a commodore radio (from a FORD?!)

cheers for the replies :)
