installing the oil pressure sensor for my guage this morning just to find that where the thread is, it cracked right down the middle (which i didn't see while installing the sensor and yes is was before the sesor cause it leaked a little but i thought it was coming from the thread), so I go ahead install the sensor and start the car, which cause the really big cleanup job in my garage, and oil sprayed all over the motor. so now i have source that part which wreckers that i have rang said wont sell me unless i buy the whole motor, then i rang mitsubitshi and they tell me it $180 dollars with a 3 business day wait.......

dont really like going to a mechanic as i have had some troubles in the past where i marked all the parts that needed replacing before giving the car back to them just to get the car back with all my marks still on them , lets just say with a few phone calls i got my money back and mechanic went out of business shortly after.....

Chemi weld goes in the radiator... used for head gasket leaks and such, works well.
What you need is a metal putty, it will bond to the block and seal the crack like muffler putty. Hope that helps.

its not worth the trouble may as well get the new filter backet (or what ever you call it ) that why i know their wont be any more drama's as its not the easiest thing to pull out to many times.....if i was going to weld i'd just plug the TIG in

Hey, good to hear you got your part ok & understand what you mean of mechanics.... they don't give themselves a good name? Most all are on individual casual contracts where the incentive is to have lots of customers & quick turn over, which all culminates in a shoddy job. Not all are so unprofessional I must add....
