Just spray tint.
Cleaned the lens with propsol, did a few test mask's and then decided on the final design, which was simple...also used detailing tape for the bottom lines, just did 3 lines. for the top i just did a prob 1cm edge, covered everything else in tape.
2 coats for the red stuff 3 coats of the blinker bit :)

Yeah man, go right ahead, i still think you could mix it up a bit, i just wanted it simple though. And never seeing this on a 2nd gen before made it harder, so was hit and miss really.

but yeah i left the brake bit un-tinted, i think you could do something in there to mix it up, write AMC on each one lol

Leave the body kit below the doors! I've seen some horror VL kits that resemble some sort of puffed out widebody fibreglass franken-car.

the VL's are an either love em or hate em car
me personally love all commos from VB-VK and VN-VS with the VE starting the next series
never really liked the VL's and i think the VT series looks like a rice bubble :D

nice job on the lights! makes the rear more sporty, although i think the dualies kinda covered that one lol

no1 knows that my car has a wing- an integrated one, which can only be seen either inside the car, or from directly behind :cool:

For some reason or another, I think the rear of your car would look better if you put the matching boot garnish on and did the same tinting effect across the garnish...personal opinion though.

EDIT- Oh, and i'm going to come to your place with a battery operated grinder and cut your tailpipes at the bend :)

Well, I did mine indicators in the tint only and left the brake lights as per normal (gotta have those rear reflectors you know!) and it did give it a bit of a Euro look, especially with the charcoal metallic paint.

VN VP have brake lights at top and bottom with the blinker and reverse lights in the middle
if anything the TR magna lights look like an EA ED

i'd say they look more like the CB Lancer SE tail lights or the '92 Galant. Out of mitsu, I can't find anything that it mostly resembles. might be a bit closer to EF/L than EA/EB/ED IMO.

Its not really like a VP.....theres a few subtle differences that stand out to me above all others...Pauls car isn't falling apart, the lights aren't white instead of red from too much sun and it doesn't look cheap and nasty!

While we're on cars that sorta look like rear ends of 2nd gens tho, what about the Kia Optima?
