well guys awhile back i posted i bought an f36a diamante jap steering wheel which is basically the same as our KJ gtv verada woodgrain wheel, well got off my butt and installed it today with the cruise as the wheel didnt have cruise control so i made a template off a gtv and adapter a hole to fit, smoothed the rubber so it looks factory and bobs ur uncle!!! i have more photos of the wiring and airbags and can post a how to guide if anyones interested.cheers

Usually love those wheels, but the woodgrains don't match! Looks like it only matches the KJ woodgrains... I had that problem with my Nardi shifter and KL woodgrain console. All the fake woodgrain is sprayed gloss black now :D
How does it feel driving around? Nice huh?

its not too bad the woodgrains dont match but the camera with flash has only made that look worser than it is,it actually looks ok was either this wheel or a ralliart one

looks very nice!
i want for my kl rada.
you did it yourelf right?
how did you go about the airbag and disconnecting it etc?
i wanna do i t to my rada, but the 'other half' thinks im stupid for wanting to do it - itl be too hard, might end up stupid (ie airbag deploy when your working on it)
iv done an airbag removal and replace in a ford before with no drama - is it similar/the same?

basically i did it like this disconnect battery and wait for 15-20mins till the power has gone, use a T27 torx bit for the security screws, that takes the airbag off next u need a small flatheaded screwdriver to prise the airbag connector off but u need to "open" the tangs (squeeze the tangs outwards) whilst levering the connector off, then theres a black wire with a bullet connector,d.c it,d.c your cruise wire,as the steering wheel didnt have cruise i had to make mine fit so used 3 fine threaded bolts (same style as your cruise earth bolts so save urself the trouble i had and buy 3 new ones then cut them down) then used a 17mm socket with extension to get the steering wheel nut off, grabbed my steering wheel puller and as i pulled up i put my knees behind the steering wheel (theyre on tight!!!) to help lever the wheel off and hey presto all done!!!. when i put the nardi one back on i had to use one of the three cruise screws as an earth for the stalk as the wheel doesnt have provision for it
as for ford wheels i dont know i havent had to replace them at work yet!!
heres more piccies!!
pps: nardi wheels are hard to come by and when u find them its usually with no irbag or big $$$$$$
im using photobucket for the first time so plz tell me if these images dont come out grrr imageshacks down
