As the title states, how the heck do you remove these mofos! I can get the red cover off, but can't pull the bulb out. Can't seem to grip it with pliers or fingers.
Also I can't even manage to get the lower door light cover off, i tried looking for a screw and also prying it off but neither seemed to work. Any hints?
The C-Pillar interior lights also seem like a bitch to get off....Do I just need to force them a bit more or something? The only one I managed to get off today was the centre roof light.
This is on a KF Xi for reference.
Replacing bulbs with LED's.

I assume you take the door trims off and get them from behind, As it the case with the c-pillar lights probably... (i have not done this before)

I thought that might be the case but flicking through the Verada book and they only have info/pictures showing that the covers pop off then the bulbs can be accessed. Hmm I might need to search a bit harder through the gregorys.

I don't particularly want to take the trims off.
Went through a long ass process of changing headlight bulbs today and that was a bitch enough as it is!

pull the door trims off and take out the bulb fitting by turning it. bulb should just pull out.

how many LEDs are on the festoon for the centre roof lamp. i tried using one with 4 LEDs and it was absolute crap, even at night there was no where near enough light to see anything.

Nick, you need dedicated LEDs for that area as in a special LED with a bigger area like a square piece with multiple LEDs on it, I know where to get them in Singapore but not here. I would recommend you to leave it as normal bulbs.

Nick: For the roof I picked up a panel that was about 5x6 LED's which was wired to a replacement bulb. There is definitely significant light, just remember to give the panel a good clean afterwards lol.
The kit is from Jaycar, it comes with one LED panel and 3 different types of bulbs so you can test fit which bulbs you need where and how much light you need.
