just go the normal lows, not even "super lows" SILENCR has the ralliart kit, plus front splitter with lows, and struggles on even normal driveways!

Yeah, pics would be good when done.
So what springs are you getting?

Asylum, He may be okay (no splitter).
Achos, Once lowered, be careful of gutters & driveways. Even without a splitter.

Please don't ruin the benefits of having Koni shocks with the wrong choice of spring...

King Lows would probably be your best match, as far as off-the-shelf springs go.

Found them when I was looking around for lowering springs for the Tarago. They will make up custom sized springs etc. Just never heard of them myself.

So Kings are okay - thanks for the tip.
...what about Pedders & Lovells and other makes ?

Havn't heard of Aurora springs, interested to check it out though.

IMO King Lows are usually fairly good, they generally seem to find a reasonble "sweet" spot in spring rate, between handling and ride comfort for the road. And the spring rate seems to well matched to the reduction in right height (e.g the superlows are too soft for the travel, and making them harder would make them ride too harsh on the street).

Apparently Lovells are softer, designed for people who wanto lower their car but keep a plush stock-like ride.

Pedders I'm actually not sure, although my impression is their products in general tend to be mediocre.

As for more upmarket brands like Koni and Eibach, AFAIK they don't make springs for magnas?

My next springs will custom, as there aren't any off-the-shelf ones that are ideal for the track IMO. E.g I want a very high rear springrate relative to the front, whch no one makes AFAIK, as it's not the best for street driving.

Aurora Springs are the name that industrial springs makers here in Adelaide give to there range of springs.

Industrial Spring makers have been around for many years. They made my custom springs for my magna nearly 8years ago now and they are still going great!

I gave them the spring rate i needed and the rideheight i wanted and they made the springs up, back then it only cost me around $150 for the 4 springs but im sure there prices are still very competetive.

You could get the king low SPs, they're a hell of a lot firmer than king lows. I've driven 2 other magnas with lows and they're softer than mine, lovells felt stock.

I put 3 friends in the back + boot full of cartons and the back tyres don't tuck under the guards or even come close. The ride height is 10mm higher than king lows but you could get them compressed to lower the center of gravity.

I think my shocks are on the way out because it feels a lot more floaty than when I got it lowered a year ago and I've done about 20000ks since, I'll let you know how it feels when I get those replaced.

all done guys, we used equivalent of king spring super low, but they were called "ultra" something can't remember but they are good lol :D

the car is sitting well, its not to low but it has dropped a bit, i assume it will drop a few cm after a while of driving to get the springs warn in, its sitting in a drivable position. ill get some pics up as soon as possible.

Care to share more info about you springs? Are you springrates primarily for the track?

Interesting, I was told SPs are softer than Lows.

Hey Guys, I put kings lows in about 2 years ago now, the rear springs sagged considerably over this time. The top of my tyre was up inside the wheel arch. I do tow a boat to the ramp occasionly and i also put stuff in my boot because thats what its for. I just bought a set of pedders springs for the rear and i did notice that when i was fitting them the steel in the pedders springs is about 13mm compared to the kings being 12mm. Obviously there are many other things to consider than the thickness of the steel but i thought it might be interesting to know. Only time will tell if they are a stronger spring or not. And as for the ride they feel the same to me.

Sure yo'ure not thinking about superlows? SPs are the ones that drop 30mm and are for handling.

right the ralliart has been lowered and is looking good, it isn't as low as i thought it would be but it is a good driving height, i dont have to go slow over speed humps that much :D so im pretty happy. the springs are called "ultraride" they are super lows. its been about 4 days since it got lowered.

the first pic is reversing up my driveway, i thought it looked awesome so i took a pic.

the other two are at my mates place you can see the height better as its more flat ground.
i wish i took a better shot of it at the original height so i could compare better.

but i love it :bowrofl:

*scraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape* hehe

Some pics with a coke can in the shot would provide a good idea of exactly how low it is in comparison...
