I remember reading that if your srs lights come up, u need to get it checked out asap.. i think if you pull down ur sun guard thing, there are instructions on the other side of it.. not too sure tho

having said that, if it goes off without any accident to go with it, theres sure to be more than a crushed skull!! plus it would mean that you would have a accident cos youd veer of the road!
get it fixed.. end of thread. *giggles*

Few notes on SRS airbags:
When modifying your car, it might be useful to find out what wires actually control the airbag... apparently you can set the airbag off if you're not careful...
When driving, you may want to consider using "push-pull" method of driving instead of "hand over hand" method when steering.. The reason being, a large proportion of airbag injuries are due to flail injuries... When using hand over hand, the airbag may inflate and push your arm (think wristwatch embedded up your nose) into your face...
If you have passenger side airbags, remember it's ILLEGAL to seat children there as it can kill them. (On a side note, you WILL lose points for committing such an offence)
Erm.. yah, that's all I can remember at the moment...

it may inflate suddenly... or not at all. just get it checked a soon as possible for safe measure. ;)
crap, I thought airbags were to prevent damage :S
if used in the rite way that is. it's funny to point out that early versions of the airbag were inflated using gunpowder...

the companies design airbags for the "safe" driver
80 % of people these days drive weirdly with thei arm over the wheel or throught the wheel or the driver leaning over to the passenger seat so the airbag misses em alltogether LOL

When srs light is on,airbag system is in fail safe and will not trigger airbags even when an impact which would normally set off srs occurs.
Srs wiring in most vehicles is enclosed in bright yellow convoluted tubing which is uv resistant and easily identifiable and connectors are usally the double locking type to prevent working loose. These should never be touched. It only take a few millivolts to trigger a module ( which we occasinally do down the back of the workshop when they have to be sent back for warranty .They go pretty high, are loud and do some damage to innocent inaminate objects :D . Great fun
Get it checked asap though as they really do help in accies.
Have you installed stereo wiring lately? Alarm system? If any part of the system is disconnected while ignition on it will throw a code.
