hey all, how we going?

as seen in my display pic and in my signature thingy, i have a 2003 KL AWD Verada - im sure you know the specs.

i have a question that relates slighly i think to previous models with the climate control (i think)

at the top of the center stack - where the climate control and radio all sit, and above the top center vents there is the clock in the rather large recessed section.

i have seen pics on here of other cars that have warning lights and stuff up there - is this true? if so whats up there along with the digital clock?
coz it does look a lot like there is more up there than there is my my KL.

is there also an 'outside tempurature' display up there in prev models?
if so, is it possible to get it to fit and work in my kl?
(im one of these people that love to know the outside tempurature - esp in the middle of summer, knowing that its around 35 outside, and its a comfortable 22 inside the car.)

i hope that all makes sence.

cheers guys and gals

outside temp is only on the digital climate control models, which is a seperate climate control screen, unlike the dials of the TL/TW. and in the display where the clock is, theres just general warning lights
hope that helps a lil :)

Slightly off topic I know, but if you are after an inside/outside temperature display you could try one of these:

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=XC0116&CATID=&keywords=car+voltage&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=

I have mine hard wired to my ciggy lighter and mounted in front of the ash tray/lighter with a double sided tape/velcro for easy removal. Best to mount it out of direct sunlight because I had a previous one sat next to my drivers side A pillar and the blue backlighting failed and the plastic casing started to melt in Summer. It has a long wire and tiny sticky backed sensor which can be stuck outside the car somewhere to read outside temperature. It has constant blue backlighting which looks good too. There are a couple of different types on their website but this is the best one. Anyway, just a suggestion.:)

looks like it should fit reasonably well up the top of the center stack as well in the clock space.

unfort, dont have a jaycar in mackay so would havve to order it in.
will definatly look into it
