Hi Guys,
got my new ford territory rims and tires fitted last night, and as the tyre monkey's were putting the last nut on the last tire - the stud rotated. The nut is on tight enough to not want to come off (it just turns the whole stud) but isn't really tight on the wheel (you can move it with your hand!!)
Just a simple matter of replacing the stud, problem is - to take the stud out you need to take the disk off to replace the stud and to get the disk off you need the wheel off. Can't get the wheel off to get the disk off as the nut and rotating stud are there holding it on....
The tyre place said to bring the car in on a day that I can leave it with them for half a day or a day and they will fix it, but Im just curious as to what everyone on here thinks they should do. I believe they are going to cut the stud/wheel nut off, then take the wheel off, disk off, replace stud and bolt everything back on again.
Any help?
