A few months ago I was driving along and a strange burning smell and slight smoke coming from front of car, I pulled up and noticed some what looked like rubber fragments around the compressor, and if I left it on it still had a burning smell. so I took the belt off what could be the problem? any help thanks

what would it roughly cost to replace the bearing in the pulley as it does not turn, that is why I think the belt was burning as it was not able to turn the pulley on the compressor...

From my experience roughly $100-$150.

is this for a 4cly or a 6? if its a 6 i have a compressor if you want it...]
