does anyone know anything about the 6G74 engine numbers
first line of them all is 6G74M, then there is 6 digits on the second line, were they in sequence? or does it refer to something? eg; 1 being year 2 being month then #### being either in sequence or just random numbers...
any ideas?
also stamped on the cyl head front bank near the oil cap, any ideas what the letters and numbers mean?

Never really looked into the engine number side of things but the letters on the front head near the oil filler cap if it has "RAL" stamped there it means ralliart heads or "LPG" means gas compatable heads that was the engine production line way of quickly identifing the different completed head assemblies.
Just like if your looking at a 5speed manual gearbox and ya not sure if its a ralliart magna unit it will have "LSD" stamped on the flat part of the bellhousing near the gearbox model number.

I take it that you now have your replacement engine then?
Did you still need me to send back all of the stuff when I'm done with the install?
