Alright, i'm thinking of doing some modding to my magna to get more out of the engine and better road dynamics. Where would be the best place to start? I drive a TS Exec 4cyl Auto.
Prices on modds would be helpful too.
Cheers guys (and gals), Brad

Mate there's plenty you can do to your car. After a little while it gets to the point where it might not be feasible to keep going; not to sound negative but mostly due to the value of the car. If you plan on keeping her for a bit, then go for it.
An exhaust is probably the quickest path to more power. A higher flowing muffler, then larger piping and extractors. You'd be looking at around $500 for this.
After that, a higher flowing air filter (pod or panel). Around the $90 mark.
After that, engine modifications become a bit expensive. You could go for increased compression, higher ratio rockers, a fatter cam, headwork, turbo or supercharging, or nitrous oxide. Big money here.
You could also fit a replacement ECU, that allows for a larger scope of tuning. About the $1000 mark, probably more.
The biggest thing holding your car back is the automatic. A change to a manual box will alter the car dramatically.
As for vehicle dynamics, larger and wider wheels with lower profile tyres, lower and stiffer springs, improved shock absorbers, larger sway bars (or fitting them if you don't already have them) and urethane bushings.

1) Convert to a manual
2) Full exhaust system
3) Lower it nicely, will help with handling.
4) Turbo conversion should see you into the 14's, Quite good for a 15+ year old FWD car.
if you can get around to number 4 you've done well, only a select few have gone there.
Also to get serious performance out of your 4 banger, your probably looking at over $6000 for the turbo install/exhaust etc etc.
and you really have to think if its all worth it.
I know your over it Pauly, but I gotta add step 5.
5) Add Evo 6 Wing

I really should watch what I say when you've got the opportunity to run me down the same day huh.lol
I'll try and be helpful now. The most important thing with the 4 banger is to service it often. Every 5000k's in the recommendation for an oil change and stuff. If you do that they'll go forever, if you don't they'll do the exact opposite.
Lowering should help with handling a bit (lose some of the roll), obviously some bigger rims with low profile rubber will help with handling too (doesn't appear like you've upgraded from stocks yet looking at your profile).
Trust you guys to get straight to the power modding, TURBO'S!! Your as bad as Clarkson.

Is a strut brace worth the money spent? Cos i've been told that'll help my traction through the corners and reduce understeer?

A rear sway bar will be much more beneficial to you initially than a strut brace. They look good, but unless you tighten the rear end up it's pretty much wasted money.

Rear sway bar (sorry to sound stupid) but... what do they look like? where in the rear do they go? and essentially what do they do?

If you look underneath the back of your car, near the beam axle (or did 2nd gen sedans have IRS?) there'll be a long, thin rod running from one strut to the other. You may or may not have one. If you don't, you'll notice an immediate improvement from fitting one. They're designed to increase the suspension's roll stiffness, preventing the body from rolling too far off it's centre axis during cornering, ie. preventing the outside of the car from being higher than the inside during cornering.
Put it this way -
I recently fitted a 22mm adjustable rear sway bar to my TL, replacing the factory 18mm bar. A corner that I used to have to slow to 40km/h for I can now take at 60km/h, with hardly any body roll.
