g'day, i just bought a 93 TR with 130,000kms on the clock, i thought i would join this site to get some advice and whatsnot.
well today i went to autobarn to do my 1st small mod, which was a K&N pod filter, the guy working there tells me it'll set me back close to 180 bucks, because i need to get an adapter for it to fit...just wondering if anyone else has had this trouble and where is the cheapest place to get the adapter, i really only wanna spend $80-100.
any advice is appreciated, thanks guys

You might be able to post up a WTD ad here, As ive sold a few 2nd hand pod filters with adaptors for like $50-$70.
Dont know if you can post up a WTD ad being new and all so just check out the FS rules.
But apart from that try ebay perhaps? Or just get a K&N panel man

Judging from the price, that sounds like an oval pod filter... Some people will say that their car suffered with a standard pod filter, due to turbulence caused by the pod filter on the airflow meter, however some have simply claimed that the standard pod filter did a world of good. What I'm getting at here is that Supercheap Auto usually sell their K&N pods for something like $80... They have the adaptors in store too :)
