I picked up one of these today, cheap at JB.

Mate reccomended it, just wonderin if anyone has this n what their opinion is? Will be adding splits at a later stage around the $300. Any suggestions?

Just look at any of the other threads around here, there's at lest ten brands people are throwing around. Boston, Hertz, MB Quart, Focal, Eclipse, Morel, Alpine (type-r's or x), DLS, infiinty, soundstream.. You're right at the entry point for some nice splits, save another couple hundred and you could get some killer ones!! :D

Yeah the stock Boston S-60's set you back about $300 but the SL-60's ( 2 models up ) have been on special for as little as $420. I suppose it all depends on how serious you would like to get. :D

Speakers are a personal prefrence. Different people simply like different things. I for one would not take a set of Dynaudios even if someone gave them to me, however, others love them.

Listen to as many speakers as you can, at different price points. Then use your budget and ears to help pick what you like.

Ps. Nice deck, one of the only brands i will touch for h/u
