Hey guys and gals,

The dimante front is on and painted, the only thing now it needs is the crme strip.

ive painted the hole car 2 tone, simma gray(i think thats it) + the grill the same colour as the bar, was going to do it black but i changed my mind. i had the help of my girlfriend Kim, i done most of the work, he he (hope she doesn't see that lol) it was my first time and using the sprey gun. i reckon i done quite well :badgrin:

At fear of tall poppy syndrome... Leave the grill, i like it the way it is, stands out nicely. OR if u must spray it, same silvery colour (sorry dono the paint name) as the bumpers, i reckon.

never really been a fan of the two tone look but i have to say on that little beast is just works, like peas and carrots or commos and bogans.

looks great mate..... top job

grill really needs to be maroon to match the top half of your paint.

once thats done drop it on its guts. I want to see it scraping the ground when we head out your way for a cruise

thanks mate, yea i'm going to leave the grill the way she is :D and with the boot its still held in by 2 of the orignal bolts so it can be hold down. if got to get some kinda of clip so i can just un latch it.

Nice car, I think a black grille suits your car best, it should look something like this, remove the wing and dont forget to colorcode your mirrors too =) (I had to erase that numplate lol)

hmm, that black grill looks hot, the wing is staying and for lowering the back i done 2 days a go, just waiting to see how it settles before i do the front :D

thanks mate, yea i did it all my self (had the help of my g/f :D ),i don't finish work until about 4 + i've lost my lisence, so you may have to come around my house,which isn't far from your mums anyway lol

Dare I say it... I get the same bright effect with Hansa Ultra White globes, although I don't have paras. Some call them rice, but they're still a whole lot better than standard globes.

Do what Rogue_Streak did, black grille but paint the slats silver, looks great :) Adds flavour too.

Actually don't do what I initially did, which was to paint them silver; grab some chrome pinstriping, works much better, doesn't dull, and is a lot easier to apply. I've got some application shots somewhere, can dig them up if need be.
Due to the number of slats, and the angles at the end of them, masking them off properly is a right royal pain in the ****; took me 2hrs solid!:rant: Think the pinstriping took me about 1/2 an hour.

i download the plan for a 3rd gen someone had in there post, ages ago, it was a green 3rd gen, and i was bored one day and i had a thought so i went and had a go at it. it turned out well. i can send you the instructions i have , just give me your email address
