View Full Version : will 3.5 ltr head fit a 3.0 ltr block

hey there
i have a te magna with a 3 ltr and i was going to put 3.5ltr ralliart heads on it will it work or not or would it be easyer to put a 3.5ltr motor in and just put the ralliart heads on it with the bigger cams can anyone tell me please im new to the magna club

what things do u have to do to change from a 3 ltr to 3.5ltr

cant answer that, but i doubt the heads will be a direct bolt on!

Pretty damn sure they are interchangeable. It's the block height's that are different from the 3lt to the 3.5lt's

If you're doing a head swap make sure you get the heads serviced before installing them on your car. Basic service is $300, or $700 with a port job, more again if you want an awesome port job. If you do this everyone will tell you to get an aftermarket ecu. Basic piggyback is $1200 drive away and it is a must if doing this.

have u done your exhaust yet? probably the best place to start

i have done exgust piggyback k and n air filter motor got 215 000 klm on it seem to be lossing power HELP PLEASE

I don't know if they are interchageable or not, but you might be wrong about block height.
Cylinder block overall height is the same for 3.0 and 3.5 l motor 210.4-210.6 mm
What is different is cylinder bore inner diameter 3.0 l : 91.1 mm , 3.5 l : 93.0 mm and stroke 3.0 l : 76.0 mm , 3.5 l : 85.8 mm
Cylinder head overall height, both motors: 120.0 mm

would the values hit the pistons or would they be right
