Im having a bastard problem with my TS at the moment.
Im trying to sell my old TS to fund more mods to my current TE.
Anyway it appears to me that the my batterey is cactus as i keen having to jump start it, not a good look in front of potential buyers! Its just not holding its charge. Its so bad that the car is idling rough because of the lack of power, you can tell as when you turn the headlights on the dim and go brighter.
I don't think its the alternator as when you make the car move the headlights light up and it becomes smooth again.
Anyone got any idea's, i think i just need a new battery...

If you think the battery is suspect, try this, if it's flat enough that it won't start the car, get someone to hold the key on to the start position while you look down the filler holes, if you see one or more of them bubbling then you've just found a dead cell. Of course if it's a sealed battery then it won't work.

Just put a multi-meter on the battery. See what the charge is while the car is running. If it maintains charge while running then it's just your battery, however if the volts go down while your car is running then you're alternator's nackered. I had the same problem with my TS and by doing it this way found out it was the alternator.

I know it is probably a bit late but the way to test is to do a current test on the electrical system
With everything turned off, disco the positive batt terminal, connect one multi meter lead to the battery lead and the other to the battery with the multi meter switched to read amp's drawn.
Any significant reading will show you some thing is drawing power it should not be, Start pulling fuses to find out the culprit.
